Budgeting For Your Baby

Page history last edited by Nina Edwards 11 years, 1 month ago

ving a baby is a sensible thing to do, if you are completely unaware of how expensive babies can be, then it's best to set aside some money before your baby is born. Babies can be expensive even before they are born! You will have to purchase all kinds of equipment and furniture for taking you child out of the home and also for general things like sleeping and playing. Most of the equipment you will be buying is for child safety.

A lot of parents will child proof their home before a baby is born, this will feature adding saftey plugs to all of the ground level sockets, fencing the stairs and softening the corners of tables and other household furniture. This is a sensible thing to do as a swift headbutt to a corner can be lethal.

Although I feel childproofing everything before might be a bit premature, the child should be safe as long as you keep an eye on him/her. The child won't really be exploring until a later age anyway.

A playpen is always a good option, you can keep your child inside with all of his/her baby toys and they should not be able to get into any dangerous mischief in there, I think this is actually one of the cheaper solutions than fencing off areas of the house.
